While our tool currently makes it very easy to insert components (terminals, relays, etc.) in the circuit path, there are currently no dedicated options for linking DIN-rail devices in the distribution board as required.
This applies to various scenarios, including
- Auxiliary contacts connected to binary inputs
- Coupling relays on binary inputs
- Switching contacts of switching channels and door communication inputs (or vice versa)
While we are planning new functions for this in the future, you can proceed as follows for the time being:
- Please create a terminal block – we use this to link components within the distributor.
- Give the terminal block a descriptive name, e.g. “internal linking of A1 with A2” (use suitable item designations)
- The terminal block should be displayed in a more ‘neutral’ way. We can delete cable designations, terminal numbers or terminal bars. To do this, please deactivate the automatic terminal numbering and activate the individual cable designation and then delete the texts.
- Usually 2 terminal points are sufficient for the terminal block. From here we can select the desired contacts via the assignment.
As a result, you can get the following visualisations, for example.
