An “Other DIN Rail device” can be created either in the main node “Other DIN-rail devices and bus systems” or directly in a bus system sub-node.
The location of the system determines whether:
- the DIN-rail device is drawn ‘free-flying’ in the diagram without further connections
- or it is drawn with a connection to the bus system above it.
In the DIN-rail device itself, you can define the descriptors and identifiers as required.
Extensive additional configuration options can be activated in the lower area of the configuration.
- Bus and line coupler function
- allows the creation of different types of gateways. Several bus systems can be connected to each other in different ways via the current device.
- the option is only visible if the device itself is located below a bus system.
- Customised channel configuration
- allows the device to add various “channels” (normally closed contacts, normally open contacts, dimming channels and other terminals of any type).
The configuration options are explained in further detail in the following chapters.
