The following shortcuts can be used when working on the drawing area:
Mouse
- Left mouse button:
- You can select objects one by one or draw a selection frame. Selected objects can be moved by holding down the left mouse button. You can see which target position they are moved to by a shadow. The objects will always remain in a 0.5 modules grid.
- Selected objects can also be quickly removed from the diagram using the “Del” key.
- Mouse wheel:
- Use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out of the area
- Centre / right mouse button
- By holding down the centre or right mouse button, you can move the zoomed-in drawing area to other places in the diagram.
- Double-click
- Double-click to open the editing window for devices, placeholders or notes. Here you can specify the size of the device and, in the case of placeholders, other properties such as texts or the colour of the placeholder
Trackpad
Using a trackpad is similar to using a mouse:
- Single finger
- This can be used to select objects. By holding down your finger, you can also draw a selection frame or move the selected objects.
- Two fingers – “pinch gesture”
- Zooming in and out of the drawing area is triggered by moving one finger apart (or towards each other) while holding down two fingers.
- Two fingers – “drag gesture”
- If you press the trackpad with two fingers and then move them in parallel, the zoomed-in drawing area moves.
Multiple selection
By holding down the “CTRL” key, several elements can be selected one by one in the tree as well as in the drawing area.
These can then be moved together onto the drawing area or within the drawing area. Selecting individual elements is always helpful if the selection frame would include too many elements.
The usual “SHIFT” selection from other programmes is also activated in the tree view. First click on a start element and then, holding down the SHIFT key, click on the target element. All elements between the start and target elements will be selected at once.
