Contactors are essential and important elements in conventional installations. Of course, they can also be used in KNX installations.
The wiring diagram (Stromlaufplan) supports two ways contactors can be configured.
Variant 1: the contactor and its main contacts as a simple and coherent element in the circuit:
In this case, the contactor is inserted in the 230V section, similar to fuses or circuit breakers, and you have a simple selection for the configuration of the main contacts:
Variant 2: flexible use of the main contacts in multiple current paths
In this case, the contactor is stored in the “Components for Conventional Installations” section.
The number and type of main contacts can be flexibly configured here.
Once the required contacts have been created, we can assign the contactor contacts in the terminal blocks using the (+) symbol for individual wires.
